Drug Addict Sentenced to 6 Months in Phulpur

A mobile court in Phulpur Upazila sentenced a young man named Mahin to six months of simple imprisonment for drug abuse and indecent behavior in public at Amuyakanda area of the upazila. According to the উপজেলা administration, Mahin had long been involved in drug addiction and was accused of creating public nuisance through obscene behavior. Following complaints from local residents, a drive was conducted in the area. Later, the mobile court led by Sadia Islam Sima awarded him six months of imprisonment without hard labor. The upazila administration stated that such drives against drugs and social crimes will continue in the future.
